Recently, Nissan unveiled its redesigned logo, which was first seen on the 2018 all-electric Ariya Concept. In March of 2020, Nissan gave a sign about this move when it applied for the trademark for its new logo design, including a new badge design for the ‘Z’ performance models.
Unlike the previous 3-dimensional, shimmering chrome logo, the Japanese automaker has adopted a minimal design idea for the new logo. The new logo signifies the brand’s way of connecting its glorious past with its ambitious future, in a simpler and in a much cleaner way. It also emphasizes the ‘transformation’ of the brand’s image.
The new logo is expected to be seen on new and refreshed models that will be unveiled in 2020. Another big thing about this logo is that even Nissan India website has updated the logo to the new logo, signifying the automaker’s refreshed take on the Indian automobile industry.
While the first half of 2020 has gone and has been a rollercoaster ride for all due to the Covid-19 pandemic, some brands took advantage of this time to refresh their entity by updating their logo. A similar step was taken by BMW earlier this year. Volkswagen too unveiled its logo alongside the ID 3 electric car.
